Posada Arigalan Policies
We invite you to read our general and reservation policies in the following paragraphs
IMPORTANT:
For security reasons, Arigalan reserves the right of admission to adults only.
Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. onwards and check-out 10:00 a.m.
For late check-out a fee of $500 MXN will be charged (If available Maximum 2:00pm).
The occupation of the room is only for the people registered. It is strictly forbidden to host third
parties. Likewise, the room cannot be transferred to anyone else.
Guests are asked to behave respectfully towards the property, other guests and staff. The
hotel prioritizes quietness and tranquility, please respect silence and stillness. Be aware that other
guests may be in a silent meditation retreat.
Arigalan is 100% smoke-free. The hotel does not allow its clients to smoke in any area, both inside
and outside spaces. If this is not fulfilled, 50% of the total daily rate will be charged as an additional
cleaning cost in each incident.
We are not responsible and do not assume any liability for any damage to or loss of the property or
belongings of any users to the Hotel. Please store valuables securely away.
We ask to take care of articles and furniture. Any damage committed will be charged.
Sheets, blankets, mattress covers, and towels (torn apart or stained with blood or any other liquid, or substance) must be paid for by the guest. (At least $ 300.00 or the total amount of the garment). Please remove sunscreen or other lotions before laying on the bed.Common areas: Shared kitchen, pool and terraces.
The use of the guest kitchen is allowed to guests only. Please review the common use agreements there.
Do not leave garbage behind or any belonging.
It is forbidden to drink or consume food inside the pool. Please shower before using the pool.Please rinse your feet when coming from the beach.
Do not throw paper and /or hygiene articles inside the toilet. Please use the bin.
Pets are not allowed.
We reserve the right to deny admission, or to require a person already admitted, to leave the Hotel, without refund or compensation, for failure to comply with any of these rules, for unsafe, illegal or offensive behaviors, to ensure safety, security, order, or if we consider that the circumstances so require.
RESERVATION POLICIES
Regular reservation guarantee:
Reservations are guaranteed solely and exclusively through our online reservation system
www.arigalan.com/booking.
Regular reservation charges:
Payment must be made upon arrival, in cash in national currency MXN or dollars. Rates are subject to 16% federal VAT and 3% state VAT. The exchange rate may vary on a daily base.
Cancellation and modification policy for regular reservation:
Reservations may be modified or canceled without penalty until two weeks prior to arrival. Requesting by email the change (if available) or cancellation to posadaarigalan@yahoo.com. For modification, the rates must be recalculated according to the new date and type of room/s chosen.
Cancellations requested 13 days until 4 days before the arrival date will be penalized with 50% of the total amount of the booking.
Cancellations requested 3 days or less before the arrival date will be penalized with the non- refund of the total amount of the booking.
Cancellation and modification policy for special dates:
Reservations may be modified or canceled without penalty until two weeks prior to arrival. Requesting by email the change (if available) or cancellation to posadaarigalan@yahoo.com. For modification, the rates must be recalculated according to the new date and type of room/s chosen.
Cancellations or modifications requested 14 days or less before the arrival date will be penalized with the non- refund of the total value of the booking.
*Special dates: From November until April.
No-shows for regular reservation:
The penalty in case of no-show or non-arrival will be the non-refund of the total amount of the booking. To keep the remaining nights of the reservation, you must notify by email: posadaarigalan@yahoo.com.
Guests deciding to end their stay earlier will not get refund
WASTE
Mazunte holds beautiful fauna and flora, let's do our best to preserve it. Let's be aware of the natural resources we consume.
Recyclable: Plastic bottles, aluminum cans, glass bottles are collected and recycled, please do not mix them with general or non-recyclable garbage.
Organic or compostable matter: all organic waste is reintegrated into the natural soil, fauna such as iguana, birds, insects and microorganisms will benefit from it. Be very careful not to include plastic wrap or any non-compostable waste.
Sanitary system:
Mazunte does not have infrastructure for drainage or treatment plants. Arigalan has a biodigester system, this system is easily affected by obstructions in the pipes caused by toilet paper and / or sanitary towels among other items. We ask you not to throw paper and /or hygiene articles inside the toilet. Please use the bins.
Water is life. With it everything, without it nothing.
We ask you to use water consciously, close the tap when you are not using it. Please close the taps well and check that the toilet lever returns to its place after each flush. If you notice a leak, report it as soon as you can.
The change of sheets will be done once and of towels twice a week. We ask you to rinse off traces of sunscreen or any lotion before going to bed, as it is very difficult to remove these products from bedding.
Please turn off lights, fans, and AC when you're not using them or leaving the room for longer periods of time.
